All-inclusive vs base-plus-add-ons
The sticker price is not the comparison — the stack total is. All MyCase figures below are its annual-billing rates from mycase.com/pricing, July 12, 2026.

Switching from MyCase, honestly
No one-click magic here yet — MyCase migration is CSV-based today, and we would rather tell you that than surprise you. It is still a well-worn path.
- 1. Export from MyCase. Settings → Data Export gives you CSV files of your firm data.
- 2. Import into Aequis. The import wizard auto-maps your CSV columns for contacts and matters, previews everything before it writes, and de-duplicates so a re-run never creates copies.
- 3. Bring documents and go. Upload documents in bulk to their matters, connect your email and calendar, and start your first support calculation the same day.
A direct MyCase API importer is on our roadmap. (Switching from Clio? That one is a real API import today — see Aequis vs Clio.)
Aequis vs MyCase FAQ
Can I import my MyCase data into Aequis?
Yes — honestly framed: today it is a CSV migration, not a one-click API sync. Export your data from MyCase (Settings → Data Export), then use the Aequis import wizard, which auto-maps your CSV columns for contacts and matters and de-duplicates as it goes; documents come over via bulk upload. A direct MyCase API importer is on our roadmap but is not available yet — if a vendor tells you migration is magic, ask questions.
What does Aequis cost compared to MyCase for a small family law firm?
Aequis is a flat $149/mo for 2 users with every feature included, growing to 4 users at $69/mo per added professional seat. MyCase prices per user — $100/user/mo on Pro billed annually (as of July 2026) — and full accounting with three-way trust reconciliation is a $39/user/mo add-on. For two people on Pro with Accounting that is about $278/mo; for five it is about $695/mo versus a flat $549 on Aequis with everything included.
Does MyCase include family-law calculators?
No calculator appeared on MyCase’s pricing or feature pages as of July 2026, and our July 2, 2026 competitive review found no competitor that natively computes child or spousal support. Family law attorneys typically buy separate calculator software. Aequis includes calculators for all 50 states + DC on every plan, each with the controlling statutory authority cited.
Where is MyCase strong?
MyCase ships unlimited document storage, a native mobile app, LawPay-integrated payments with no monthly fee, guided implementation with data migration help, and a 10-day free trial with no credit card (all per mycase.com/pricing, July 12, 2026). Its Advanced tier also adds AI document OCR with a 5,000 pages/user/month allotment. If those outweigh flat pricing and built-in family-law tooling for your practice, MyCase is a reasonable choice — this page exists for the firms where it is not.
Is there a free trial of Aequis?
Yes — 14 days with every feature included on every plan. A credit card is required and you can cancel anytime before the trial ends. You can also try the free public child support calculator with no account at all.
